Recently Philippine President Rodrigo Duterte signed the bill on the national identification system to law or Philippine Identification System (PhilSys).

Where you can get the National I.D?

You can now get the National I.D in the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA) formerly known as (NSO) or National Statistics Office in your area. Feel free to inquire on how to get National I.D.

Is there any a charge or fee to get the National I.D?

It is absolutely free on the first time you get it. However, if you lost it, you should get an Affidavit of Loss + the replacement fee (more or less 100+php) for the lost I.D Card.

So you better take care of your card.

When it will be start to implement? This will be start on December 2018 as per signed by President Rodrigo Duterte.

Is the National I.D will expire?

According to the PhilSys I.D card is lifetime. There will be no expiration once you have your National I.D.

Additionally, apart from the National I.D System, PRC License, Philippine Passport, and LTO Driver’s License are among those valid I.Ds that is acknowledged and valid.

The system will collect a person’s demographic data which includes:

-Your full name
-Date of birth
-Blood type

According to rappler biometric information will also be recorded, including a front-facing photograph, full set of fingerprints, and iris scan. Collected information will be handled and secured by the Philippine Statistics Authority (PSA).
